Status: Effective — Supersedes. IUS 11-1989 The limitation of effectiveness has been lifted: Protocol No. 4-93 of the IGU dated 10.21.93 (IUS 4-1994)

The standard applies to towing equipment consisting of a towing fork or jack with a pivot (towing plugs or jack) located in the front of all types of vehicles (except passenger and cargo-and-passenger vehicles made on their base) with a constructive total weight of up to 50,000 kg parts of those cars that do not have a trailer hitch), and a rigid tug-type «rod» or «triangle», used as a hitch link with a towing vehicle that has a rear hook and traction hook according to GOST 2349 or traction plug on ST SEV 5165. The standard does not apply to towing devices of vehicles with a constructive gross weight of over 50,000 kg and vehicles delivered for production before 01/01/92, as well as towing devices of other types.
